The “Staff Competition Increases Sales” Myth

December 5th, 2008 by racheljane

Many books have been written using structured settlement cash scenarios as analogies to teach important selling principles. One critical component that must be factored into the sports arena is the element of competition. In sports, athletes work to be better at their events, or in their team positions, than others playing the sport. Teams strive to defeat the opposing teams with participants working to do their best to win. On the surface, this concept of competition seems like a valuable tool to implement with a sales organization. In fact throughout this manual sales professionals have been referred to as members of a sales team. The logic is that in sports, competition encourages the athletes to do their best, therefore in selling, competition will also encourage sales professionals to strive for better sales results.

When you set up sales contests that pit sales representatives against each other for cash or a trip to the Bahamas, the temporary gains you achieve are more than erased by the long term morale problems this type of competition creates for your sale organization. What usually happens is that one or two people win the competition every time. After a while, the rest of the sales team doesn’t even try to win the prize. Often they believe that the contest is stacked in favor of your top producers, lowering morale even further. The overall effect of using competition in the workplace, then, is that it will not motivate your people to work harder, but will instead, discourage and demotivate your staff.

The best incentive programs are designed where every participant can be a winner. By having sales professionals compete against their past sale performance levels, you can generate a lot more enthusiasm for your contest and avoid the morale issues that a head-to-head competition creates. A point or chit system for a grand prize drawing is an effective tool as well. Assign points for improved performance and then draw a winner from the points or chits placed in the larger pool. With this approach, each sales staff member has a shot at the grand prize and can be winners of smaller prizes for the number of points accumulated during the sales contest period.

Part P of the Building Regulations

December 5th, 2008 by racheljane

Part P Alabama Lemon Laws donate auto Building regulations was introduced in 2005. The Purpose of Part P was to bring Electrical Installations under the remit of the Building Control offices. As with many other types of construction the Electrical system, since Part P, has to be verified by a local Building Control office or by a part P registered company or individual.

A company who has become part P Registered can only verify work that they have actually installed. In the case of a building control verified Electrical Installation the installation is inspected at a number of times during the installation process.

The timings of these inspections are normally arranged so that any parts of the installation that will be concealed on completion of the installation are inspected while Visible. It is a fact that must be considered when notifying building control as any part of the installation that cannot be inspected may cause the installation to fail Part P and have to be inspected again. Concealed parts of the installation would then have to be revealed to allow inspection to be carried out

Most building control offices are now using contractors to inspect installations for Part p compliance. This has caused a lot of controversy within the Electrical industry as In some circumstances rival companies have inspected the work of competitors. It also raises questions on why it is allowable in these Circumstances but not others as with an electrician who is part p registered being allowed to inspect work of those that are not part p registered.

Having trained to become an electrician over 20 years ago I have seen all the training methods, good and bad. I now run Domlec, an electricians home study training company who specialize in Part P self study Electricians Courses

Intoduction to the Car Subwoofer

December 1st, 2008 by racheljane

A student loan consolidation loan is the part of the audio speaker system in a home or auto system that reproduces the bass frequencies. Small speakers which are typically part of a small system will usually reproduce frequencies as low as 40 HZ particularly when the decibels rise above 100. A cone subwoofer will reproduce the bass tones from about 20 HZ down to 200 HZ, the point where the sound is as much vibration as tone.

The first known occurrence in a recording was the use of the subwoofer in “Pretzel” the Steely Dan album released conference calling company 1970 when the speakers were invented. The sound is actually produced by the drivers, which can range from 8″ up to as large as 34″. Typically drivers found in movie theaters, concerts, radio stations and live records in the 15 to 18 inch range. Part of the excitement of a live concert is the intense vibrations which emit from the enormous subwoofers.

A auto stereo system which comes from the factory usually does not include car audio subwoofers, aficionados of the hottest systems find they need to add aftermarket car stereo subwoofers.

INSTALLING CAR AUDIO SUBWOOFERS

It is common for subwoofers to be installed in the trunk of the car, since better sound quality is gained by separating the car subwoofers from the balance of the stereo system. The process for installing car stereo subwoofers is somewhat complicated, so it is recommended that you buy the subwoofer enclosures prefab. The first step is to remove the carpet or flooring material from the trunk and thoroughly clean the area. Apply sound deadening material such as Dynamat or Accumat to glue coated and cleaned metal of the trunk floor. Once the sound deadening material is in place, a roller will help to bond the two surfaces together, then replace the carpeting. Now it’s time to place the subwoofer enclosure itself. Following the instructions for the amplifier, wire the car subwoofers into the two rear audio rear speakers.

It’s wise to play around with the positioning of the subwoofer box before permanent installation is made to determine where the best sound results occur. The subwoofer boxes can face the front or rear of the automobile with different sounding results. Once you have made the decision as to where the subwoofer enclosure will be place, drill and mount the brackets in the correct place to hold the subwoofer box firmly in place.

HEARING LOSS

Some car audio subwoofers seem to be in competition to produce sound pressure levels that are dangerous to one’s hearing, especially in the confines of the automobile. These cars with their sound pressure levels in the red-line area of permanent hearing loss are not able to produce good sound quality, but the quality is less important than sound pressure.

To enhance the vibratory effect of the stereo system, a new devices called subwoofer boxes which transmit vibrations when attached to furniture. These subwoofer enclosures provide the feel of the big subwoofers without attendant hearing loss.

Sleeping With a Man Won’t Give You a Commitment

November 29th, 2008 by racheljane

Call me old fashioned, backwards, antiquated or a-feminist…whatever. Sleeping with a man car insurance lady give you a commitment.

Hello.

I recently got an email from a woman who allowed herself to get “there.” She was dating this man, having the time of her life and then she let “it” happen. They slept together.

Then Florida auto accident attorneys did it again and again. Well, do you know what happens when the sex got underway, she began wondering where things stood. Then she decided to open her mouth to have the dreaded “talk.”

Hmmm…

Of course. It always happens. Women try to deny the truth that they are secretly wanting a man to commit to them. They try to act as if their hearts and bodies are not attached.

This is where the modern ideals for womanhood have gone wrong.

If you are bold enough, go out and ask plenty of men who are successful in their relationships. Ask them if they would wait for sex if they were really into a woman.

Surprise. The answer you’ll get is a resounding “yes.”

When you are sleeping with a man you begin to lose emotional ground. It causes you to be less in control when you don’t KNOW where he stands with you. Asking him where he stands is trying to get you back on solid ground. This kind of behavior often backfires.

Men don’t want to talk about where they stand. A man figures if a woman is sleeping with him then she should have enough emotional security to handle sex.

When you start to dig for answers, he’ll pull away from you even further. This is not the way the game is played. You don’t sleep with Joe then talk to Joe about it.

You keep you underpants on and make Joe work to win you over until he falls hopelessly for you. All of the talk that you really want to have should come before the sex darling. Joe will go if he just wanted sex or he’ll stay if he was really into you.

Customize Your Car With a Body Kit

November 29th, 2008 by racheljane

A lot of people these days are spending Arkansas auto accident attorney money on making their car customized and one of the best methods of customizing your car. When you decide to use a kit there are Hawaii personal injury attorneys of different things you’ll need to take into consideration. Some of the things you’re going to have to consider are the types you want, the quality of the kit and also the materials used for making the kit. All of these things will need to be considered when you’re shopping for a body kit.

When you go out looking for body kits the first thing you’re going to need to know is that there are three types and they are lip, bumper replacement and wide body. All three of these kits will work great and look awesome but you’ll need to choose your preference and then look at the many models. Another thing you need to consider when choosing on the type of body kit is the size of it. You will need to ensure that the body kit will fit onto your car without having to do much body work. A lip kit is the easiest body kit to install and take off so if you need to keep the car in the same condition as it is then you should highly consider the lip kit. The replacement bumper kit fits a lot differently than a lip kit and also is a lot worse to install and you may have difficulties installing this type without having to do a lot damage. The wide type is in the middle for installation purposes but cost wise you’re looking to spend more on a wide body kit than the other two.

Materials are the next thing to start looking at when shopping for your body kit, and usually they are made from either fibreglass or urethane. You can also find the kits that are made from both of those materials and these types are called poly-fiber. Nowadays most of the new body kits are being made with urethane rather then fibreglass although you can still find both in stores. Urethane offers more flexibility and is a lot easier to install. The fibreglass are easier to repair than the urethane but often the fibreglass breaks more so you need to choose which is best for you.

The last thing you’ll want to consider when shopping for a body kit is the quality of it. There is no point going out and buying a body kit that will break into pieces after you ride over a bump. You should ensure the product is durable and the best way you can do this is to read reviews of the products online and find out what the consumers are saying about the different body kits on the market. You should always choose the kit that first fits your car and second appeals to you. Don’t buy something just because of good reviews because you may not like it. Only use reviews for finding out about how well the products perform.

Give Credit Its Due

November 19th, 2008 by racheljane

Whether car insurance West Virginia have a lot of credit card debt or are debt free, you have to give credit its due. Let’s face it; there are some things that are difficult to do without having credit. Plus, you need to have credit to get credit.

With so much talk about the problems brought about with credit card debt, I doubt anyone would disagree, ideally, it’s best to be debt free. There’s no better sense of well-being than knowing all you owe is your living expenses and your mortgage payment. And wouldn’t that be nice to be rid of? But, for most of us, we will spend much of our adult lives paying a mortgage. Not may of us have the luxury or good fortune to be debt free.

So then what do I mean when I say, give credit its due? In today’s world, it’s very difficult to be without a credit card. Many places will no longer take checks; and I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to walk around with large amounts of cash. When you need to book a hotel room, or pay a bill over the phone, rent a car, or order something online or via the phone, you must have a credit card. There’s just no getting around it.

Even those opposed to owning a credit card must realize it is nearly impossible to live without one. And you can’t just have possession of a card; you will need to use it. When you need to apply for credit, to purchase a car or to take out a personal loan for instance, you must have a credit history. Credit lenders will want to see a history of on-time payments before they lend you their money.

So give credit its due, and use it wisely. If you are one who’d rather not have a card, you still must use it every now and then, but pay it cheap car insurance quotes at the end of the month. You will stay debt-free while building a good credit history.

And if you’re like the majority of the American population, you will find yourself using your credit card too often. Be careful. Choose a card that best suits your needs and mode of living. There are numerous types available today. Look for one with no annual fee, and of course a low interest rate. There are cards that reward points toward every purchase which you can exchange for gifts; there are those that offer fraud protection, or travel services, including miles on your favorite airlines; some offer savings at large retailers, and some offer cash-back bonuses.
